I’m engaged…now what?

Engagement season is upon us and we are here to help you navigate what to do next…

Congratulations!!! You have officially joined the Fiancé club, and all of the sudden the pressure is on. So how can you enjoy your engagement season and look forward to the wedding at the same time? We have some ideas below that we hope will ease some stress and create some excitement!

Although we currently only offer Day of Coordination we still want to see our couples thrive and start off on the right foot, so lets get to our tips and tricks for eliminating stress and being able to enjoy your engagement season all while planning a wedding!

  1. Take some time to let it sink in. You just became a Fiancé, so sit in it. Planning is fun and exciting but trust us it goes by fast and you don’t want to wish this time away. Cherish it. Even if that means taking a full week before you start planning. A week feels short to some but for others can feel like wasted time. Do what works for you but try not to rush it (even if you want a short engagement)!

  2. Budget. Who doesn’t love talking about money? It is a great idea to know what you are willing/able to spend so that you can find your venue and vendors that are in your price range.

  3. Guest Count. Sit down with your Fiancé/Families and figure out an estimate of who is going to be invited to the wedding. Having a number in mind will help weed out venues that don’t accommodate your guest count. Guest count also impacts the budget so it is important to know if you have to stay under a certain number of guests to support the cost!

  4. Venue. In order to move forward with vendors you are going to need a venue and a date. Have fun with researching different venues and setting up tours. We highly recommend touring with your Fiancé to ensure you both love the space! It also doubles as a fun date :)

  5. Make a mood board. This is so helpful when booking vendors. Having a mood board to share with vendors will help to communicate what you want so your vendors can make your dream a reality. Have fun with it and don’t be afraid to Dream BIG!!
